ABOUT ME

Patricia Harris:

Born October 1956 in Buenos Aires Argentina - Architect and Artist

Patricia Harris’s journey is an inspiring one that encompasses the pursuit of passion and the ability to reinvent oneself at any stage of life. Born in Buenos Aires, she made the bold decision almost 36+ years ago to emigrate to the United States in search of new opportunities and experiences. Throughout her life, she has worn many hats, including that of an architect, but her love for art has remained a constant force in her life. Her educational background includes a degree in architecture and urbanism from the prestigious University of Buenos Aires, where she honed her skills and developed a keen eye for design and composition.

Despite her successful career in architecture and design, Harris always felt a pull towards the world of art. Now, in her retirement, she has chosen to fully embrace her passion for art and has devoted her time and energy to creating beautiful and thought-provoking pieces. Her style, which she has cultivated through years of practice and exploration, is rooted in abstract expressionism. Harris loves challenges she opted for this style as a challenge given her technical background, but it also allows her to fully explore the use of color, shape, and composition in her work.

Her appreciation for all forms of art extends back decades, and she has actively sought to expand her knowledge and skills in the art world by attending numerous workshops and classes. These experiences have exposed her to a variety of techniques and perspectives, allowing her to continuously grow and evolve as an artist. By immersing herself in different art forms and learning from other artists and the masters of contemporary and modern art, Harris has been able to develop her own unique voice and style.

One of the most admirable aspects of Harris’s artistic journey is her willingness to embrace change and take risks. Transitioning from a successful career in architecture to pursue art full-time is no small feat, but Harris has approached this new chapter in her life with enthusiasm and determination. Her ability to adapt and thrive in new environments serves as an inspiration to others who may be considering a similar leap of faith.

In conclusion, Patricia Harris’s story serves as a reminder that it is never too late to follow your dreams and pursue your passions. Her journey from Buenos Aires to the United States, her successful career in architecture, and her eventual transition to a full-time artist illustrate the power of resilience and the endless potential for growth and self-discovery. Harris’s dedication to her art and her commitment to continuous learning and growth make her a true role model for aspiring artists and anyone else embarking on a new, creative endeavor.
